Patient rights
Nondiscrimination
Effective July 19, 2026
Virginia Surgical Services provides services without unlawful discrimination. The practice does not refuse, withhold, segregate, or treat a person differently because of race, color, religion, ethnic or national origin, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, military status, or another status protected by applicable law.
Communication and access
Call 703-594-1583 if you need a reasonable accommodation, help communicating, or information in another usable format. Advance notice gives the office the best opportunity to arrange an interpreter, auxiliary aid, or other appropriate assistance. A clinical or safety requirement may affect where a service can be provided, but it is not used as a pretext for discrimination.
Raise a concern
Contact the practice at 703-594-1583. You may also contact the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, Office of Civil Rights, or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights. Federal complaint information is available at hhs.gov/ocr/complaints. The practice will not retaliate against a person for raising a good-faith concern.
